WHO WE ARE HELPING
Individuals and Families In addition to supporting non-profit substance abuse facilities and organizations, we are committed to one-on-one assistance of those who reach out in need of help whether it be detox, short or long term treatment, sober housing or a support group. If someone needs to get into treatment, we help find the right program, get them there and assist with funding if applicable. If detox is needed, we help expedite intake process. Life after in-house treatment is difficult, therefore, we help to connect with sober living housing facilities and provide grants for rent and basic needs to help start a life of recovery. When there are family members who are struggling, we help to connect with support groups. Whatever the need, we are here to help change lives for the better... one by one!

Non-Profit Substance Abuse Facilities and Organizations
Mainstream House, Riverhead, NY We provide grants for housing and support to individuals in recovery at Mainstream House in Riverhead. They operate both men's and women's houses, with a tested structure that re-establishes healthy habits for successful recovery. Mainstream House was founded by Robert Hartmann, Jr., CSAC to give recovering addicts, like himself, a safe home to recover from chemical addiction. By requiring residents to attend 12 step meetings from their choice of multiple fellowships, and get a sponsor, Mainstream House introduces the client to the tools needed for long term recovery. Mainstream House is a working house which means the client must get a job early in their stay. This approach teaches some of life’s lessons that were forgotten in addiction; how to pay bills, how to manage money, and how to save for the future.
The Daniel Copersino Foumdation also supports the Betty Ann Hartmann Foundation also based in Riverhead. The Betty Ann Hartmann Foundation helps addicts who fall short of their financial obligations in early recovery, with a grant or multiple grants. When we think of someone suffering from substance abuse we of course think of treatment, but what about those that don’t have family or financial help? We tend to forget in looking at the bigger picture that there are a lot of little things that people in early recovery can benefit from to help improve their quality of life. Some of the ways in which these grants are used are transportation, food, clothing, and housing.

Hazlet's Hope, Hazlet, NJ Through our close relationship with this organization's Founder, we are able to provide via phone, video call or in person, one-on-one addiction intervention from a trained counselor. Hazlet's Hope is a vital resource to the Daniel Copersino Foundation providing immediate contact to treatment programs in the tri-state area. Hazlet’s Hope Network, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to uniting the skills and experience of recovery teams with patients seeking lifesaving changes from substance abuse through long term treatment. Hazlet's Hope is a peer based organization that was founded to help those struggling with substance abuse. Peer based means people who have first-hand experience with substance abuse and recovery, have been professionally trained to meet 1 on 1 with those who are in search of a life away from drugs and alcohol. This includes friends and family members who have been impacted by addiction. Our support network and array of resources are available to the Daniel Copersino Foundation.
St. Christophers Inn, Garrison, NY Thanks to your donation, we are able to annually support the Scholarship Fund at St. Christopher’s Inn in Garrison, NY, a long-term treatment center for men struggling with addition. These scholarships are reserved for men who show a serious commitment to doing the difficult work required for a life in recovery. Members of the Board of Directors meet and interview prospective scholarship recipients. These men have been in the recovery program at St. Christopher's Inn and feel the need for continued treatment. If approved, their extended stay is funded through the Scholarship Program.
"Thank you for the generous donation to the St. Christopher's Inn Scholarship Fund in tribute of Daniel Copersino and for your partnership in helping many men move from "Broken" to "Blessed" through their work at St. Christopher's Inn. Your participation in our ministry is so very important and makes a real difference in our fight to save lives from homelessness and addiction. Together we will help men at the Inn win the battle against addiction and return to their lives as husbands, fathers, brothers and productive members of society. On behalf of all those we serve, thank you again for your generosity. You are an integral part of our life-saving mission. The Friars, Staff and Residents of St. Christopher's Inn count you among our blessings."

How we are helping
SPARTAN RACES: The Daniel Copersino Foundation has a main fundraising event among others. The main event is the annual CitiField Spartan 5K Stadion Race. Daniel, being an avid Spartan (obstable course) racer, inspired us to get up off the couch, get uncomfortable, challenge ourselves and also feel the pain... which is much like taking the first steps to a life of recovery. So, a Spartan Race has become our main event!
Racing is open to anyone who wants to join us! We then have an "AFTER THE RACE" FUNDRAISER EVENT with food, music, raffles and prizes. Through generous donations and sponsorships of this event, we are able to continue our misison and help more men and women looking to overcome addition and change their lives for the better. Thank you for your support!
